South Korean carmaker Kia Motors is preparing to launch its new sub-compact SUV, Kiya Sonnet. The company is going to make a global debut of this car on August 7, 2020, but before that the company has released its second teaser image. Recently, Sonet's production-ready image was revealed, which revealed its rear profile and section.

But now the company has released a new teaser image revealing its front profile. The bold design of the compact SUV KIA SONET is highlighted in this rendered image. However, the signature elements of the company can be seen in it.

The company's first  Made in India car is the Kia seltos and the new Sonet will be launched under the Seltos at the Portfolio. Let us tell you that Kia Sonet is going to be the third car in the Indian market. Before this, the company launched Seltos and Carnival.

Front profile, the company has given its signature tiger-nose grill and three-dimensional step-well geometric grill mesh, which makes its road presence more robust. Let me tell you that Kia Sonet, kia company's second Made in India car.




Engine Specifications of KIA SONET

Kia’s sub-4m SUV has the same underpinnings as the Hyundai Venue and will share its powertrain options: 1.2-litre petrol (83PS/114Nm), 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol (120PS/171Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel (100PS/240Nm). In the Venue, the naturally-aspirated petrol engine and the diesel engine are only offered with a manual transmission while the turbo-petrol unit gets the choice of a 6-speed manual, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, and the newly introduced clutchless manual 6-speed iMT.

 

Price of KIA SONET-

It will likely be priced in the range of Rs 7 lakh to Rs 11.5 lakh.

 

KIA SONET Rivals-

The Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. It will also take on the upcoming Nissan Magnite, Toyota Urban Cruiser and Renault Kiger.
