Hyundai has started the official booking of this hatchback car after releasing the teaser image of the third-generation Hyundai i20 2020. Interested customers can book this car by paying a Booking amount of Rs 21,000 from the company's online platform or the nearest dealership. The new i20 car will be launched in India on 5 November. Also, the company has now stopped selling the last generation Elite i20 as well.

The new Hyundai i20 is to be launched in India on 5 November. The company is going to bring it to a total of four variants Magna, Sportz, Esta, and Asta (O), along with three engine options, it is to be brought in four trims and eight color options. The IMT variant is going to be available in this segment for the first time.
Engine Options
Hyundai is offering the all-new i20 in Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta (O) variants. Further, customers can choose between a variety of Petrol, Diesel, and Turbo Petrol BS6 engines and transmission options that include First-in-Segment Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT), Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), and Manual Transmissions.

- It shares its engines with the Venue.
- The 1.2-litre petrol will come with either a 5-speed MT or CVT.
- The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol will get either a 6-speed iMT or 7-speed DCT, no manual.
- The 1.5-litre diesel will be available with only a 6-speed MT.
- Hyundai will offer the diesel engine only on three variants of the new i20.
The Hyundai i20 will be available in four variants: Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta (O). As we’d reported earlier, the engine options will be similar to the Venue sub-compact SUV. So you’ll have to choose from a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine (83PS/113Nm) paired to a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT, and a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol (120PS/173Nm) paired with a 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual) or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. A 1.5-liter diesel (100PS/240Nm) with a 6-speed manual transmission is also on offer.
