Skoda India has launched a number of
new products for the Indian market in the last few days including Rapid 1.0
TSI, Skoda Superb, and Karok SUV. Now the Czech car manufacturer is preparing to
launch another car in our country. The Skoda Kamik SUV has recently appeared on
the Indian roads while testing and it is being speculated that Skoda India will
launch the SUV early next year. Spy photos have a clear glimpse of the rear of
the car as this upcoming SUV is captured in the camera without any stickers.
The Skoda badging has been seen in
the middle of the rear of the SUV, while the LED tail lamps of the L-shape have
been given more than the rear bumpers with black cladding. Apart from this, the
signature Butterfly grille will be included in the front part of the Skoda
Kamik SUV which will be surrounded by split LED headlamp design. To improve the
overall appearance of the car, a chrome strip has been used on the front
grille. The SUV will be provided with many more features such as larger size
air intakes, tilted rooflines, roof rails, and shark fin antenna.
In the international market, the
Skoda Kamik SUV is offered in two engine options, although in the Indian market
it will be launched with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that is also fitted to
the recently launched Carok SUV. This engine generates 148 Bhp of power and 250
Nm of peak torque and the company has equipped this engine with a 7-speed DSG
automatic gearbox. After launch, the Kamik SUV will compete with other cars
like Hyundai Creta, Kia Celtos, Volkswagen Tiguan. It is estimated that Skoda
India will keep the Xroom showroom price of 12 to 18 lakh rupees.
