Let us tell you that today the petrol price hike by 59 paise and diesel by 58 paise. This week from June 7 to today, the price of petrol has increased by Rs. 3.90 and the price of diesel by Rs. 4.00, now it is likely to increase further.
Fuel demand had declined since the end of March and a major decline was recorded in April. By May, many works were exempted, due to which there has been a slight increase in demand for fuel, but this is still not enough, due to which petrol pump owners are suffering losses.
Fuel prices are increasing by an average of 60 paise every day, only on Tuesday, an increase of less than 40 paise has been recorded. According to the notification issued by Indian Oil Corporation, the price of petrol in Delhi is Rs 75.16 and the price of diesel is Rs 73.39.
Before the petrol price hike, petrol was being sold for Rs 74.57 and diesel for Rs 72.81. Although the price of petrol and diesel is different in every state and city, it depends on the tax imposed on it, but the increase is happening everywhere.
According to oil companies sources, the increase in the price of fuel is going to increase further in the coming days, because the price of fuel is also increasing in the global market. At present, the price of global crude has doubled as compared to April.
In the last financial year, petroleum product sales registered a growth of 1.9 percent till February, but it was reduced by 18 percent with the arrival of Covid-19 in March, due to which the sales growth in the financial year was reduced. 0.22 percent.
